THis is a great post... There is not any "TRUE POLICE" in this area and a lot of individuals are taking MAJOR advantage of the consumers... Unfortunately PSA/DNA was a good concept, but the market and BUSINESS, which is MONEY, has shown that some will lower their standards to get create more wealth... I really hate this as at one time it was a "hobby" and "hobby" shops could survive, but with this it continues to show the "ENRONS" of America will be there in every industry. Although, a lot of people will agree that the true theives are the forgers and YES they are criminals and should be punished by law, but what about the other THEIVES... THe ones that prey on innocent collectors and because of their capital to invest and market with they can actually be as much of the problem as the forgery artists. You hear and I do agree that the best way is to buy from a dealer you know personally or trust if you can not get it in person, but a lot of people are putting faith and trust in some companies such as PSA because of their advertising/marketing. It just makes me sick to know that this company is rated the LOWEST possible on the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU's scale, but people just don't know it because they hide behind a different name in COLLECTOR's UNIVERSE....
